PETAPETA School of Nightmares Mini PETAPETA in School of Nightmares

Level 4’s smaller hunter: catch means collapse and drained powers, not a cute mascot.

Mini PETAPETA

Mini PETAPETA is the extra hunter pressure on level 4 of PETAPETA: School of Nightmares. Official promotional art even labels the beat: if you get caught, your powers will be sucked away and you collapse. She does not replace the main PETAPETA. She taxes greedy looting on the same two-floor school. This page is the role dossier so level 4 stops feeling like a random instant fail.

Locker cover is the only answer when Mini PETAPETA is active

What Mini PETAPETA is

She is a smaller spirit threat tied to later-level loops. Community walkthroughs put her on level 4 after you already know keys, glass, and teleports — walkthrough. Getting caught is not a slap on the wrist. Collapse plus power drain means weaker stun feel, worse stamina, and a much easier second catch by the main hunter.

There is still no kill button. Stun from the Skill up tree delays; lockers hide; extract wins. Mini PETAPETA is a resource tax, not a raid boss.

How a catch happens

The same tells still apply: footsteps, reddening screen, scream/shake. Mini PETAPETA punishes players who treat level 4 like level 1 — center-room desks, empty stamina, late locker entry. If you are mid-interact on a shoe locker when she arrives, you will collapse. Start interacts only when a locker is one step away. Habits: How to Hide and Controls.

Co-op: do not stack three people on one interact. Spread lockers. Call “mini on me” immediately so teammates stop vacuuming shards.

After a collapse

  1. Stop looting. Your kit is worse now.
  2. Hide. The main PETAPETA will finish runs that try to hero the gate at half power.
  3. Recenter on matched keys only. Forget optional orbs until you are stable.
  4. If the team can still extract, extract. A 20% shard keep after a full wipe is worse than a thin escape.

Hard and Super Hard make this sequence tighter. Do not buy Super Hard if Mini PETAPETA still surprises you on Normal level 4.

Farming around her

Cursed Shards still spawn in classrooms and lockers. Capacity still caps the bag. Mini PETAPETA is why auto-loot helps on mobile — fewer long taps in the open — but auto-loot does not hide you. Spend order remains Capacity → Stun → movement before you greed Archives. See Cursed Shards.

Visual ID versus the main hunter

Promotional stills for level 4 show a smaller pale spirit crowding a student while the main PETAPETA still occupies the hallway. Use that as a read: Mini PETAPETA is close-range pressure inside rooms; the main hunter still owns corridors. If you only watch the far hall and ignore the classroom you are looting, you will collapse to the mini and then die to the main. Headphones help you separate two footstep layers. When in doubt, locker first — PETAPETA for the primary tells.

Co-op jobs on level 4

Assign a caller who only watches audio. Key runners deliver matched padlocks and nothing else. Shard mules hug locker walls and stop the second a collapse is called. Do not send three people into one glass break. After a collapse, the unhurt player becomes the extract lead; the drained player becomes a locker ghost until the gate is one lock from done. That split is how squads finish Super Hard without donating the bag.

PvP note

Player-controlled PETAPETA in PvP is a different seat. Mini PETAPETA is a PvE level-4 mechanic. Do not confuse remnant shoe lockers in ranked with Mini PETAPETA’s collapse tax.

Treat Mini PETAPETA as a reminder: level 4 is still the same school, but you no longer get a free recover after one bad interact.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for School of Nightmares players.

Which level has Mini PETAPETA?

Level 4. Levels 1–3 teach keys, glass, and teleports without her collapse tax.

What happens if she catches you?

You collapse and your powers are drained. Stun and stamina feel worse, and a second catch is likely.

Can I kill Mini PETAPETA?

No. Same rule as the main spirit: stun, hide, extract.

Should I still pick up shards on level 4?

Yes, but only along locker walls. A collapse after a greedy vacuum wastes the bag.
